The Last Dinner Party, Caity Baser and Sekou have been shortlisted for the BRITs Rising Star award 2024.The annual prize recognises the rising British artists who have not yet achieved an Official Album Charts Top 20 or had more than one Top 20 in the Official Singles Chart as of October 31, 2023.The shortlist is selected by a panel of music editors, critics, heads of TV and radio stations, songwriters, producers and live bookers.Previous winners of the prestigious award include Adele, Ellie Goulding and Sam Fender, while last year’s winners were UK R&B trio and NME 100 alumni FLO.The girl group beat off competition from Cat Burns and Nia Archives to claim the prize.The 2024 Rising Star award winner will be announced on Thursday, December 7, ahead of the 2024 ceremony on March 2 at The O2 in London.“We’re so honoured and thrilled to be nominated for the Rising Star award!” said The Last Dinner Party in a statement (via Music Week). “It’s very overwhelming and exciting to be up for something as prestigious as a BRIT at this stage in our career and we’re so grateful.

The Last Dinner Party joined Lucia & The Best Boys on stage in London last night (November 21). The Last Dinner Party have shared details of an “intimate variety show” at London’s Roundhouse next year – find ticket information below.The London-based band will play the Camden venue on February 1, 2024 with support from Heartworms.They wrote on Instagram that there’s “no particular reason for this event….none at all…”, but hinted that it could make for an unmissable experience. “We recommend very very strongly that you attend, could be historical,” they added.Tickets go on sale here this Friday (October 6) but fans can register for a pre-sale here that opens this Wednesday (October 4).

The Last Dinner Party have announced their first-ever North American tour.Kicking off on October 31, the five-piece will make their way to the East Coast for their first show at The Atlantis in Washington D.C.. From there, they will make stops in New York City and Philadelphia before heading over to the West Coast to play a show at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, California.Their final show of the tour will take place on November 9 at the Bottom Lounge in Chicago.

The Last Dinner Party have responded to claims that they are an ‘industry plant’ band.The much-hyped London group and NME 100 alumni – who are signed to Island Records – released their debut single ‘Nothing Matters’ last week to widespread acclaim.On Tuesday (April 25), the five-piece played a sold-out headline show at Camden Assembly in London, which followed support slots with The Rolling Stones and Nick Cave.
