Rockstar has confirmed Grand Theft Auto 6 is still coming in 2025 after rumours of delays.Late last year, Rockstar announced that Grand Theft Auto 6 would be released at some point in 2025 and shared a record-breaking trailer.However since then, updates have been few and far between. In March, the studio scrapped remote working, with many devs saying they’d been “left in limbo” following the rule change.The following month, Grand Theft Auto publisher Take-Two Interactive laid off hundreds of staff and cancelled a number of titles as part of a “cost reduction program” that they hoped would “identify efficiencies across its business and enhance the company’s margin profile, while still investing for growth”.
