Siouxsie Sioux‘s headline set last night (May 20) due to severe weather.The event at Brookside at The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, which was set to be her first performance in the US for 15 years, was cut short during Iggy Pop and The Human League‘s set.According to the Orange County Register newspaper, Pop was performing ‘The Passenger’ when his microphone was cut and an announcement over the PA alerted attendees to leave. “OK, we have lightning, we need to evacuate the stage I’m told,” Iggy told the crowd.Human League frontman Phil Oakey also cut the band’s set short and apologised before urging fans to “vacate”.Festival goers were also instructed at the direction of the Pasadena Fire Department and the event’s organisers to exit the site and move to protected areas.Due to severe weather, please exit the event site and move to your vehicles or protected areas outside of the event site for safety.

Morrissey has announced a 30th-anniversary reissue of ‘Interlude’, his duet with punk icon Siouxsie Sioux.The duet is a cover of Timi Yuro’s track by the same name and was released back in 1994. It was recorded during the recording sessions for Morrissey’s fourth solo LP ‘Vauxhall and I’.

Duran Duran have announced a new Halloween-themed album which will see them cover Billie Eilish, Talking Heads and more.‘Danse Macabre’ will be released on October 27 and feature a mix of new original songs, reworkings of songs from the band’s catalogue and covers.Alongside versions of Eilish’s ‘Bury A Friend’ and Talking Heads’ ‘Psycho Killer’ (featuring Måneskin bassist Victoria De Angelis), they will also share versions of The Rolling Stones‘ ‘Paint It Black’, The Specials‘ ‘Ghost Town’, Siouxsie and the Banshees’ ‘Spellbound’ and Cerrone’s ‘Supernature’.To announce the album, the band have shared its title track, one of three original new songs for the project.Keyboardist Nick Rhodes said: “The song ‘Danse Macabre’ celebrates the joy and madness of Halloween. It is the title track of our forthcoming album, which gathers together an unusual mix of cover versions, reworked Duran Duran songs and several new compositions.

Siouxsie Sioux has performed Siouxsie And The Banshees‘ song ‘Israel’ for the first time in a decade – watch the footage below.The iconic singer-songwriter – who previously fronted the aforementioned punk band – recently returned to the stage for her first solo show in 10 years. Following a run of dates in Europe, Sioux was set to play her first US set in 15 years at Cruel World Fest 2023 last Saturday (May 20).But organisers were forced to cancel that headline slot after severe weather hit the event, which was taking place at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.Both Sioux and Iggy Pop (who was also on the bill) then returned to the site on Sunday (May 21) to perform that night instead.

Siouxsie Sioux has returned to the stage after a hiatus from performing for the last 10 years.On Wednesday (May 3), Sioux performed at the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, marking her first performance since Yoko Ono‘s Meltdown Festival in 2013.
