Much like its preliminary process, the trial’s opening statements got off to a rocky start, with multiple interruptions along the way.

Florida prosecutors in the YNW Melly double murder retrial intend to introduce a slew of the rapper's lyrics to be introduced as evidence, the Miami Herald reports. In a court filing made on Wednesday, Broward county prosecutor Alixandra Buckelew listed 55 songs, 18 audio files, 14 YouTube videos, and four album covers the state wishes to admit as evidence for the trial, which is scheduled to begin in February. Report: Young Thug released from hospital after evaluation

Jeffrey Williams (Young Thug) was transported from Cobb County Jail to a nearby hospital after experiencing chest pain before a scheduled hearing today (May 11). An attorney for Williams told Judge Ural Glanville that he had “no idea what his condition is currently” but that he did not expect him to appear in court today.

YSL defendant’s lawyer out on bond after prescription drug arrest in court

Anastasios Manettas, the attorney for YSL RICO defendant Miles Farley, was arrested on Thursday (April 20) at a courtroom checkpoint when officers found him to be carrying prescription drugs. Manettas was dragged off by police at the checkpoint, at which point he attempted to throw his colleague Chadha Jimenez his phone so that it couldn’t be searched in jail, Jimenez told Rolling Stone. Manettas missed, hitting an officer with the phone, which added one count of assaulting an officer to his charges.

Young Moose wins $300K settlement from city of Baltimore in police harassment lawsuit

Baltimore’s spending board has approved a $300,000 payment from the city to Kevron Evans, a local rapper who performs as Young Moose, The Baltimore Sun reports and multiple local outlets confirm independently.
