‘South Park’ creator wishes he could delete these three seasons
South Park, has revealed that there are three seasons of the show that he wishes he could erase from history. The legendary adult animation first hit the Comedy Central airwaves in 1997 as a spinoff from a pair of short films that Parker and partner Matt Stone created under the title The Spirit of Christmas. There have now been a total of 26 seasons of the show and seven specials, making for a total of 328 episodes, but in a new interview, Parker has revealed that there is one period of South Park that he would like to remove from his memory banks.Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, he said: “If I had to permanently erase anything from the library, it would basically be anything before season four.”“It’s just embarrassing to watch,” he added. “OK, we were like, 26, 27, but it’s like, ‘Really?’ We thought that was funny? We thought that was well-written? Oh my god, this is terrible.”The most recent new episode of South Park was ‘The End of Obesity’, the third in a trio of specials that aired on Paramount+ over the last 12 months. The episode contained parodies around the so-called weight loss drug Ozempic, including a spoof sketch where Eric Cartman can’t afford the drug, so his doctor prescribes him ‘Lizzo’, to train him in body positivity so he can stop worrying about his weight.“I want you to listen to Lizzo five times a day, and watch her videos just before bedtime,” the doctor says.
