The Brooklyn Academy of Music has announced a new spring concert and film series called “Eldorado Ballroom,” curated by Solange with her Saint Heron Collective. It kicks off March 30 with a show featuring Kelela, Res, and KeiyaA, followed by two nights of “Type of Guest,” a celebration of wordless storytelling by interdisciplinarian Autumn Knight and visual artist Maren Hassenger, with two film showcases — “Unseen Nuyorican Pictures” and “Coeval Dance Films” — and two more concerts — “Glory to Glory (A Revial For Devotional Art),” helmed by Twinkie Clark & The Clark Sisters, and “The Cry of My People,’ featuring jazz legends Archie Shepp and Linda Sharrock as well as celebrated poet, playwright, and essayist Claudia Rankine — during the following week.

Coachella debut, Ice Spice has made a guest appearance during PinkPantheress‘ recent New York concertAfter play Coachella for the first time ever on April 13, rapper Ice Spice left California to make her way down to New York, where her friend and collaborator PinkPantheress was performing. PinkPantheress had brought her ‘Capable of Love’ tour to New York, where she treated fans to a tight setlist, packed with her biggest hits – and a surprise or two.

Kelela is in a reinterpretive mood. Earlier this month, the electronic R&B singer-songwriter shared RAVE:N, The Remixes, a collection of tracks inspired by her 2023 album (one of our favorites of the year) by artists including Loraine James, Shygirl, Yaeji, and Bambii.

Kelela has shared the full track list for the remixes version of ‘RAVE:N’ today (December 7) – check it out below.Earlier this year, Kelela followed up her 2017 debut album ‘Take Me Apart‘ with sophomore album ‘Raven’. NME’s four-star review said: “In a debut album which was all about breaking down, ‘Raven’ reminds us of what it means to be put back together.”The Remixes will be released on February 9 and include a wide range of collaborators including Shygirl, Yaeji, Liv.e, BbyMutha, LEECH and others.‘RAVE:N, The Remixes’ was described in a statement as “a transcending fusion of mashups and sounds, reimagined from the original ‘Raven’ album alongside her musical partner in crime Asmara.”Kelela has also today shared the album’s featured single ‘Closure’ from featuring an accompanied visual directed by Yasser Abubeker which you can watch below. Back in October Kelela announced a remix album to accompany this year's Raven. Today it has been confirmed that RAVE:N, The Remixes will be released on February 9 and include contributions from artists including Shygirl, Yaeji, Liv.e, BbyMutha, LSDXOXO, and Loraine James among others.

Kelela has covered Sade’s classic single ‘Like Tattoo’. Check it out bellow.Her take on the neo-soul band’s 1992 track from fourth album ‘Love Deluxe’ has been recorded to close out Amazon Music’s US Black History Month campaign.

Kelela has released a studio cover of Sade’s “Like a Tattoo,” a 1992 track from the legendary R&B group’s fourth album, Love Deluxe. She performed the song live on Huw Stephens’ BBC Radio 1 program back in 2017 but had not released an official version until today (February 28).

Kelela has shared new song "Happy Ending." The club-ready song arrives a month after "Washed Away," the vocalist and producer's first new music in over four years. After the peaceful and cleansing "Washed Away," "Happy Ending" marks a return to the dancefloor for Kelela.
