The White Stripes have announced details of their upcoming book The White Stripes Complete Lyrics.According to Third Man Books, The White Stripes Complete Lyrics is a “300+ page hardbound book documenting all of Jack White’s original words written for the six-time Grammy Award-winning duo he and Meg White formed in 1997 through the release of their final album in 2007.”The lyric collection also features never-before-seen and rare rough drafts, alternate lyrics and photographs as well as essays by American poet Hanif Abdurraqib (official White Stripes archivist and Third Man Records co-founder Ben Blackwell) and American author Caroline Randall Williams.A post shared by The White Stripes (@thewhitestripes)There is also a limited edition version that comes with a signed bookplate by Jack Whiteavailable directly from Third Man Books. The Brooklyn Academy of Music has announced a new spring concert and film series called “Eldorado Ballroom,” curated by Solange with her Saint Heron Collective. It kicks off March 30 with a show featuring Kelela, Res, and KeiyaA, followed by two nights of “Type of Guest,” a celebration of wordless storytelling by interdisciplinarian Autumn Knight and visual artist Maren Hassenger, with two film showcases — “Unseen Nuyorican Pictures” and “Coeval Dance Films” — and two more concerts — “Glory to Glory (A Revial For Devotional Art),” helmed by Twinkie Clark & The Clark Sisters, and “The Cry of My People,’ featuring jazz legends Archie Shepp and Linda Sharrock as well as celebrated poet, playwright, and essayist Claudia Rankine — during the following week.
