As we get ever so closer to the end of 2023, there are quite a few major stories that have dominated the film industry. Strikes aside, one of those stories is quite possibly the utter failure of DC superhero films this year.

Amid a number of DC blockbusters that are awaiting release in the upcoming year or two, fans are especially looking forward to , for which , the beloved Aquaman, has already started shooting in London. The movie will follow the adventures of Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman, and his orbit.

Jason Momoa is all set to reprise his role as the Aquaman in the sequel to DC's original film. While the film was being referred to as Aquaman 2, the film's director James Wan recently took to Instagram to confirm the film's title.

Actor Patrick Wilson recently got candid about his highly-anticipated film Aquaman 2! The actor who also is the lead of newly-released The Conjouring: The Devil Made Me Do It, the 47-year-old actor spoke to ET and revealed that he’s working hard to reprise his role as King Orm, aka Ocean Master, in the DC Universe “With James, when he comes back for a sequel, it becomes bigger and better and broader and more funny, more action, more character work,” Patrick shared. He also added, “This is my eighth-week training…In about a month or so, they start… and then I go and in a couple of months we start.” The actor will be returning in the sequel alongside his former co-stars Jason Momoa and Amber Heard.

While fans have been eagerly waiting for Aquaman 2, actor Jason Momoa has now dropped a major tease about the same, hinting at how epic the sequel will be. Momoa in his recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore show gave some major updates about the upcoming DC film.

Amber Heard may have just confirmed her return for Aquaman 2. The actress recently took to Instagram to share a throwback picture from the original film's shoot and her caption hinted that she may be returning for the film's sequel.

If you believe the current release dates, then we should be expecting a new “Aquaman” film at the end of 2022. But since that date was announced a while back, we have yet to hear much about the forthcoming sequel.

During the panel, which also included “Aquaman” costar Patrick Wilson, Wan teased a few minor details for the forthcoming sequel that is set to arrive in 2022.
