T-Mobile is launching a new suite of skinny TV bundles aimed at cord cutters. The cell phone carrier on Tuesday staged a virtual event to unveil the services, which will offer access to live television for as little as $10 per month.
It is also getting into the connected TV device game with a streaming device dubbed the TVision Hub. With its lineup of skinny bundles, T-Mobile enters a crowded market already dominated by offerings from YouTube, Hulu, AT&T and Dish Network.
Services such as FuboTV and Philo also offer cheaper, niche live TV offerings. These services all launched in recent years to attract customers put off by expensive and restrictive cable packages, but it can be hard to make money offering a low-cost alternative to pay TV.
