A man has been charged after a police chase on the M56 ended in a smash at Manchester Airport. Officers pursued a van on the M56 motorway near Warrington on Tuesday (March 5).
The chase ended after the van crashed into a barrier at a multi-storey car park at Manchester Airport. A man was arrested on the scene.
Neil Corrigan has now been charged in connection with the incident. He has also been charged failing to stop after a collision and driving without insurance. Corrigan has been remanded in police custody.
