Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard paid tribute to Tom Parker after his death was announced by his heartbroken wife. Kelsey Parker confirmed on Wednesday (March 30) that her The Wanted star husband had died, aged 33, a year and a half after telling fans he had been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. "It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side," Kelsey said in an Instagram post alongside a grey and white picture of the singer, from Bolton. "Our hearts are broken, Tom was the centre of our world and we can't imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence." The mum-of-two added: "We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children.

Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care throughout, he fought until the very end. I’m forever proud of you." During Thursday's GMB, Susanna and Ben reflected on the tragic news and remembered his appearance on the programme alongside his The Wanted bandmates - Max George, Nathan Sykes, Siva Kaneswaran, and Jay McGuinness - during its festive special towards the end of last year.
