Susanna Reid has announced that she's leaving Good Morning Britain temporarily as she heads off on a summer break.The presenter ended the ITV show's Wednesday 10 July episode by telling viewers "goodbye" as she revealed that she would be absent from the show until September.

Instead, Charlotte Hawkins and Ed Balls will be taking over hosting duties as she heads on holiday. Susanna Reid has been the face of Good Morning Britain since 2014, presenting alongside the likes of Piers Morgan, Ben Shephard, Kate Garraway, Adil Ray, Richard Madeley and Ed Balls over the last 10 years.

She typically hosts the show Monday to Wednesday with either Richard or Ed, while Kate Garraway takes over on Thursdays and Fridays. "It's now time for me to go off on a break which means I say goodbye to you at home," Susanna told Good Morning Britain viewers. "You never know, I might pop up in the meantime!
