A super slimmer from Lanarkshire lost half her body weight by ditching takeaways after she was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.Jennifer Marshall, of Coatbridge, who tipped the scales at 18st 6lb, lost a whopping nine stone and now weighs a healthier 9st 6lbs.The determined 41-year-old was terrified after receiving her frightening health diagnosis and vowed to change her life after years of struggling with her weight during the lockdown of 2020.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

She also took up walking and now works out at the gym four to five times a week.She says implementing small changes has changed her life for the better.
Jennifer told Lanarkshire Live: "I was diagnosed with diabetes and it really scared me. I knew I couldn't go on the way I had been. "I'm a full-time carer for my gran and I struggled with her personal care and day to day things because of my weight.
