Matt Donnelly Senior Film Writer “In the Summers,” the acclaimed indie film and winner of the 2024 Sundance grand jury prize, will make its streaming debut on Hulu.
Available starting Feb. 5, Alessandra Lacorazza’s decades-spanning tale of the tumultuous relationship between two siblings and their father was released in the U.S.
last fall by Music Box. Theatrical will continue in international territories, including Europe, Latin America and Asia, after the Hulu rollout.
The film is led by top-selling global rapper René Pérez Joglar (aka Residente), Sasha Calle, Lío Mehiel and Leslie Grace. Joglar took home the Grammy for best musica urbana album on Sunday night, breaking his friend Bad Bunny’s winning streak in the category.
