“Subversive” Graphic Novel Publisher Gungnir Entertainment Launches With Steve Aoki Comic

EXCLUSIVE: Iconic EDM artist Steve Aoki’s debut graphic novel HiROQUEST comprises the first roster of releases from new publisher Gungnir Entertainment.

Gungnir has been launched by comics vet and Iconic Arts Chief Creative Officer Matthew Medney as a publishing house dedicated to “visionary and subversive storytelling.” Gungnir’s first tranche of releases includes HiROQUEST: The Graphic Novel from EDM legend Aoki, which was created with Gungnir’s Jim Krueger and follows a genetically enhanced meta-human in a universe 400 years in the future.

HiROQUEST is one of several Gungnir releases including Forward as Always from Olan Rogers and Jake Sidwell, The High Cost of Happily Ever After from Krueger and Zach Brunner and Chupacabra: Tales of Blood and Ink from Medney himself.

Joining Medney at Gungnir is editor-in-chief Krueger, who is renowned for his work on Justice (DC Comics) and the Earth X trilogy (Marvel).
