Strictly star rushed to hospital as doctors tell them 'you're lucky to be alive'

TV star Susannah Constantine has recalled a terrifying experience, which saw her rushed into hospital for emergency surgery.The former Strictly Come Dancing star, 61, had been suffering from pins and needles, tinnitus, and a swollen left eye.

Speaking about this scary ordeal, the former What Not to Wear star told OK!: "They said" 'It's Hobson's Choice, if you don't have the operation, you've got a one in three chance of having a brain haemorrhage, being paralysed or having a stroke. "If you do have surgery, you've got a one in 10 chance of these same things happening during the operation.'" Last year, Susannah had hinted at her health woes, when she shared a video of a cannula in her arm as she lay in a hospital bed, where her shallow breathing could be heard.

Forever grateful." Ahead of this, she had opened up about her devastating hearing loss, which she realised after not being able to hear birdsong.
