The former Olympic champion felt her throat swelling up after tucking into a bowl of nachos. Unbeknown to Nicola, 38, the snack contained nuts which she is allergic to.
Talking about the incident Nicola said: “When our meals arrived we all tucked in. But all of a sudden I started to feel really odd.
I felt really unwell and suspected it was a nut allergy reaction. “My throat was starting to close up and I was finding it hard to breathe.
