Strictly's Wynne Evans 'could face consequences' after dance-off as he 'distances' himself from Katya Jones

The opera singer found himself in the dreaded bottom two for the first time with professional dance partner Katya Jones over the weekend.Wynne and Katya made it through to week eight of the BBC One dance contest and on Saturday night (November 9), they took to the dance floor where Wynne was praised for improving his footwork following his performance of an American smooth to Grace Kelly by Mika.
They were awarded 32 points and surprised with a video from singer Mika, who wished the couple well.However, Wynne and Katya then had to fight for their place in week nine of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series, which also happens to be the annual Blackpool special.
They faced the dance-off against Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu with both couples having to reprise their performances from the live show, including Shayne and Nancy with their rumba to Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper.After both couples had danced a second time, the judges delivered their verdicts: Craig Revel Horwood chose to save Shayne and Nancy, as did Motsi, while Anton Du Beke chose to save Wynne and Katya.
With two votes in favour of Shayne and Nancy, the decision came down to head judge Shirley, who decided to save Wynne and Katya.
