Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Len Goodman sadly passed away earlier this year at the age of 78. The professional dancer was only days away from turning 79 when he died unexpectedly.
Les made his final appearance on Strictly on the 2016 Christmas Day special and announced his retirement from TV last year. He was replaced as head judge on the BBC show by Shirley Ballas - who is on the panel for the current series.A statement from his agent said at the time: "It is with great sadness to announce that Len Goodman has passed away peacefully, aged 78.
A much-loved husband, father and grandfather who will be sorely missed by family, friends and all who knew him."His official cause of death has now been revealed according to reports in the Express that state his prostate cancer spread to his bones.
Len Goodman became a well-known face on Strictly Come Dancing when the series first aired back in 2003 as he joined the judging panel alongside Craig Revel Horwood, Arlene Phillips, and Bruno Tonioli.The star also later joined the judging team on the US version, Dancing with the Stars.
