Strictly’s Janette Manrara ‘happy to have husband Aljaž back’ after emotional show exit

Janette Manrara, 39, has revealed she and husband Aljaž Škorjanec, 32, would hardly see each other whilst working on Strictly Come Dancing due to their conflicting rehearsal schedules.Since leaving the BBC show to present its spin-off, It Takes Two, Janette has confessed she’s glad to have more time with her husband, who announced his exit from Strictly back in April.Professional dancer Janette has gushed about how happy she is to “have her husband back”, adding that a return to the stage as a duo has reignited their spark.

The pair, who are currently on tour with their festive show, A Christmas to Remember, have been married for five years. “When he was doing Strictly, I would barely see him because we were on different schedules,” Janette recalled.“It takes over your life so now I spend a lot more time with him, which is really nice.”The star went on to admit that their new on-stage adventure has been like “going back to square one” in their relationship in an interview with the Mirror.

Janette and Aljaž appeared on Strictly for eight years before finally bidding an emotional farewell to fans. A few months ago, Janette lifted the lid on her husband’s post-Strictly plans, adding that “family time” was something he was keen to prioritise in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk.

Speaking on the Pride of Britain red carpet, Janette opened up about Aljaž’s exciting new acting career.“He’s working on his acting, taking his lessons,” she revealed proudly. “And spending a lot of time with his family,” she added, “Which I think matters to him a lot, actually.“So yeah, he’s doing good,” Janette added, before she went on to talk about working with It Takes Two co-star Rylan Clark, 34, for the second year in a row.
