Strictly fans are eagerly anticipating the competition's seventh Christmas special, scheduled to be broadcast in December with one celebrity already confirming their involvement.Jamie Borthwick, known for his flashy moves in the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom alongside professional Michelle Tsiakkas, previously claimed the Silver Star trophy with Nancy Xu.

Yet, on Friday, December 13, and Saturday, December 14, a new set of contestants will take to the stage in hopes of emulating EastEnders' Jamie Borthwick's triumph in the BBC One show's festive episode.During Monday's It Takes Two, Fleur East interrupted the show to announce that comedian Josh Widdicombe is gearing up to participate in next month's programme.

The 41 year old made his mark on the Channel 4 comedy panel show The Last Leg alongside Adam Hills and Alex Brooker and has led both his semi-autobiographical BBC Three show, Josh, and Dave's panel show Hypothetical, reports the Mirror.

However, this Monday, the word got out that he'll soon be handing over control to Karen Hauer in his anticipated appearance on Strictly's Christmas edition. "I have been toying with it for years, the Christmas special and then I thought I'd do it this year and now this is the most scared I have been on a TV show," Josh admitted to Fleur after the host made the announcement. He later added: "I am utterly terrified this will end in humiliation and worried I'm going to be so bad I will ruin Christmas for the nation.
