Fleur East made a surprise interruption during Friday's episode of Strictly's It Takes Two to wish co-host Janette Manrara a happy birthday.
Fleur, who was in Blackpool chatting with the contestants ahead of their special performances, took a moment to cut back to Janette in the studio and deliver her special message. "Wait, hello, Janette it is me again," Fleur said before adding: "Sorry to interrupt you but you didn't think we'd forget something really important, did you? " She continued: "Tomorrow is a big day for our couples but it also your birthday, so firstly, a very happy birthday from me to you and a few others wanted to send their well wishes, too." The show then aired a video clip of the Strictly stars wishing Janette a Happy birthday, including a heartfelt message from Janette's husband, Aljaz. "Happy birthday, we hope you have a good day celebrating and we hope your loved ones are spoiling you rotten." Wynne Evans even serenaded the It Takes Two host at the end of the video.
As it cut back to the studio, Janette was presented with a birthday cake. Janette was visibly stunned, saying: "Wow, thank you," before exclaiming, "Look at the cake, we have got to look at the cake." She then added, "Thank you, very much," before refocusing on the show.
Friday night's It Takes Two was the final spin off show before the huge Blackpool live show on Saturday night.The remaining celebrity dancers and their partners will be taking to the iconic tower to perform in front of the audience, and the judges.They'll all be hoping to top the leaderboard, and win the public vote to get them one step closer to that all important glitterball trophy.
