Strictly's AJ Pritchard says he wanted to be part of show's first same sex-pairing

AJ Pritchard said he would've loved to be a part of Strictly Come Dancing 's first ever same-sex dance pair. The pro dancer, 25, announced he was leaving the hit BBC One dance show this year, meaning that he won't be able to make history of dancing in a same-sex couple.

But nonetheless AJ threw his support behind the show's unprecedented decision after they announced that Olympic boxer Nicola Adams will be paired with another woman.

Speaking to The Sun, AJ said: "I'd have definitely been up for it. It’s probably one of the most important things the show has done. "I'm intrigued to see how the choreography works."
