Strictly fans emotional as Chris McCausland breaks down in tears after making final

The latest episode of Strictly Come Dancing was a very emotional one for comedian Chris McCausland who couldn’t believe he is now a finalist.

Chatting to Claudia Winkleman after the announcement, Chris told her “I can barely talk” as he got choked up. Claudia pointed out to Chris that when they first met on the sofa, he believed he would be there for “three weeks” maximum - and now he’s a finalist.

Chris told her “I haven’t recovered” before adding “it’s been hard, I think in the top 10 scariest things I’ve ever done. 10 episodes of this, it’s been knackering, mentally fatiguing.

It’s been incredible, and I can barely talk so you should ask Dianne something.” Chris’ partner Dianne Buswell then took over, she said: “You can see by the emotion on Chris that it’s hard to crack this guy.
