Strictly Come Dancing's Pete Wicks had the audience chuckling with his witty remark aimed at judge Craig Revel Horwood after performing a Viennese Waltz to Frank Sinatra's "That's Life" in the Halloween special.
Dressed as The Joker and staging a dramatic escape from prison, Pete referenced last week's criticism about 'illegal' dance moves before the judges could even weigh in on his latest routine.
He quipped to the panel: "The reason I was in jail is cause last week I did something illegal, so I got arrested for that." Craig had previously slammed Pete's rumba for including lifts, declaring, "As for the lifts that is totally illegal. There were two lifts and one foot should remain on the floor at all times." He even hinted at severe consequences, saying: "Of course it's up to the professional if they want to lose marks for that.
Of course you''ll be marked down for that and I think even a disqualification darling. I think you should follow the rules." Despite the playful banter, Pete received more positive comments from the Strictly judges this time around.
