Pete Wicks looked close to despair on last night's Strictly Come Dancing at the prospect of a fresh round of humiliation after the star's dance partner Jowita Przystal explained what was in store in their upcoming Blackpool performance. The ex-TOWIE star, 36, was saved by the public this weekend after delivering an impressive couple's choice routine on Saturday to The Best by Nicotine Dolls, a heartfelt tribute to his late nan.
Before his performance, the TV personality confessed it had been a 'tough' week in rehearsals, admitting he'd been "crying more than dancing".
Both judges and viewers were moved by Pete's performance due to the personal significance of the song choice, which was played at his nan's funeral. To his astonishment, Pete scored a 10 from judge Shirley Ballas, an 8 from Craig, a 9 from Motsi and a 9 from Anton, giving the pair a total score of 36 and landing them in 4th place on the leaderboard.
During Sunday's results show (November 10), it was revealed that Pete and Jowita had been saved and are now heading to Blackpool next week.
