Comedian Chris McCausland, making history as the show's first blind contestant, is set to Cha Cha his way to The Beatles' Twist And Shout alongside Dianne Buswell.The 47-year-old comic shared he had reservations about joining the glitzy cast but admitted he was "very easily persuaded." Amy Dowden is gracing Strictly with a comeback, Waltzing to When I Need You by Leo Sayer with celeb partner JB Gill after her brave battle with breast cancer.
The inspiring 34-year-old pro dancer discovered a lump just a day before her honeymoon in May 2023, sadly sitting out the last series, but she triumphantly announced her return this February post-mastectomy and chemotherapy that led to a "no evidence of disease" status.
In other thrilling news, Jamie Borthwick, basking in the glow of his Christmas special win in 2023, will sweep across the floor to Beautiful Things by Benson Boone with Michelle Tsiakkas, while football legend Paul Merson is pegged to bring an athletic American Smooth to Fat Les's Vindaloo, partnered with the incredible Karen Hauer.
