Nick Knowles told fans he was addressing the 'elephant in the room' as he shared a message on social media during his week of training for his next Strictly Come Dancing performance.

The DIY SOS star's future in the BBC One dance contest was recently left hanging in the balance after he suffered an injury the day after performing alongside professional dance partner Luba Mushtuk for the first time live on the show.

He underwent various scans and assessments on his shoulder before it was agreed that he was fit to perform. With only 16 hours training, Nick managed to deliver a respectable American Smooth Foxtrot to Blur's Park Life alongside Luba. He and Luba are set to perform a Charleston to Rain On The Roof from the film Paddington 2. However, Nick took to social media after he mentioned the song was from the hit film on the Strictly spin-off show, It Takes Two.
