Strictly Come Dancing's Wynne Evans has been causing a stir with his latest performance, with fans claiming he was 'overmarked' by the judges.

However, his girlfriend, Liz Brookes, was all for it and jumped to defend the Welsh opera singer.The 52 year old glided through an American smooth with dance pro Katya Jones on Saturday night (9 November), showcasing his first foxtrot of the series.The routine to Mika's hit Grace Kelly incorporated elements of Foxtrot, Tango, Waltz, and Viennese Waltz, all expertly choreographed by Katya.

Liz, 50, who's been dating Wynne since early this year, couldn't contain her excitement and posted a snap of the duo on Instagram with the caption: "Knocks it out of the park again!" The judges were also filled with praise, with Anton Du Beke awarding them a near-perfect nine and Shirley Ballas saying their dance was "wonderful", reports the Mirror.

However, viewers weren't convinced and took to X, formerly Twitter, to express their dismay, some even suggesting "favouritism" towards Wynne.
