The Strictly Come Dancing results were unexpected following Musicals Week, as viewers of the beloved BBC show watched Montell Douglas and pro dancer Johannes Radebe face off against Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec. The tense dance-off saw Montell and Johannes perform a touching Rumba to I'm Here from The Color Purple, while Tasha and Aljaz opted for a dramatic Argentine Tango set to 'Ex-Wives' from Six.
Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke were in agreement, saving Tasha and Aljaz and granting them another twirl on the dance floor.Though her vote wasn't decisive this time, Shirley Ballas also shared she would've backed Tasha and Aljaz.
Montell graciously accepted the result and opened up to Johannes, saying, "He has been amazing. Strictly has touched me in ways I never knew possible.
I'm an Olympian and a Gladiator, but I have honestly struggled with confidence my whole life and being on the show, with the beautiful crew, the judges, the cast has just been such an honour." She added, acknowledging her connection with her dance partner, "I have to say thank you to you [Johannes] because I really have found a friend and a brother in this man.
