Scots have been braced for some extremely windy and wet weather as this weekend comes to a close thanks to Storm Isha. The majority of the country has been placed under a rare 'danger to life' amber warning for wind from 6pm on Sunday January 21, lasting until 6am on Monday January 22.

Some of the potential dangers we could see during the storm include flooding, power cuts, damage to buildings, loss of mobile service, large waves and falling trees.Gales of up to 90mph could batter parts of the country, according to forecasters, with flying debris potentially causing life-threatening injuries during this time.

It now looks like some tornados could be on the way too, as another warning has been issued for almost the whole of Scotland, according to The Mirror.

A 'tornado watch' has now also been issued for huge swathes of the UK by the Tornado and Storm Research Organisation (TORRO).The 'Tornado Watch', which you can see in red, covers all of Northern Ireland and Ireland, most of Scotland and some areas of northern England.
