Storm Francis: Hair raising moment plane lands as wind speed records are broken

mirror.co.ukA plane wobbled terrifyingly from side-to-side as it came in to land amid fierce winds caused by Storm Francis. Dramatic footage taken earlier today shows the moment a passenger jet came in to land at Birmingham Airport.
As it approached the runway the aircraft was buffeted from left to right by the heavy winds, Coventry Live reported. While the plane drops closer to the ground it is dragged away from the centre of the landing strip by a serious gust.
Thankfully the pilot had steady enough hands to land the plane. The aircraft was not the only thing to be disrupted by Storm Francis's winds, which are anticipated to hit 50mph tonight.
