TransPennine Express has been forced to cancel its services running north of Carlisle on Saturday because of Storm Bert. Services between Manchester Airport and Glasgow/Edinburgh are among those affected by the cancellations, the operator said.
TransPennine Express (TPE) has now given its customers the option to change their travel plans over the weekend after it was forced to cancel some of the services.
A TPE spokesperson told the M.E.N. that all services between the north west of England - Manchester and Liverpool - and Edinburgh/Glasgow had been impacted by Saturday's cancellations.
All services will either terminate or start at Carlisle, they added. READ NEXT: Gatwick Airport evacuated with terminal shut amid major 'security incident' The operator has said customers with tickets already purchased for travel between Manchester Airport and Glasgow/Edinburgh, Liverpool and Glasgow, and Edinburgh and Newcastle/Berwick for Saturday 23 November or Sunday 24 November can use their tickets on any TPE service between Friday and Sunday (22 to 24 November) instead.
