Stonehaven train crash: Emergency services surround carriages in first images from scene

Firefighters are at the scene of this morning's tragic train derailment in Scotland, which is feared to have claimed two lives.

A huge emergency services operation was launched after the train plummeted down an embankment, with thick smoke seen billowing from the crash site.

More than 30 emergency vehicles and an air ambulance are at the scene in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, after the smash, which was reported at 9.40am.
