The Chestergate, in Mersey Square, has changed its name to The Southgate as a show of support to the England boss and his players ahead of the Three Lions match against Italy.
The pub's old sign has been replaced by a new one featuring an image of Gareth Southgate and a St. George's flag. Pub manager Lisa Mills said: "Seeing everyone celebrate together has been amazing.
