Stewartry sisters Mollie and Daisy Keiley were two of the youngest competitors to win a coveted championship at The Royal Highland Show.
Mollie, 17, and Daisy, 15, saw off the competition in a strong class to land the Belted Galloway title with cow Huntfield Yvette and calf Croft Elsie.
The girls, of Carton Croft, Dalbeattie, were thrilled to pick up their first bit of silverware at a national show. Proud mum Katie said: “The girls worked hard on halter training and preparing them for the show and it’s so rewarding to have been awarded champion.
We are absolutely delighted.” The Ramsay family, Milnmark, Dalry, hit the double when they scooped champion and reserve in the inter-breed sheep pairs.
