The Stewartry’s plans to mark the coronation of King Charles III are beginning to take shape. Celebrations are planned across the region to mark the occasion on May 6.
Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities have organised a picnic on Moat Brae from 11am to 4pm. There will be entertainment from Pete Kirk and the Ukefrolics and everyone is welcome to bring along their tables, chairs, blankets and food.
The coronation will be screened in the church. And it will also be televised in Dalry Town Hall from 11am, with tea and cake.
Crocketford Community Initiative have organised a free fun afternoon for kids in the village hall from 3pm to 5pm. Youngsters are encouraged to paint a stone and enjoy snacks and fun.
