Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg have become embroiled in a row with residents of an Oxfordshire village over the filming of a new series set in WW2, it is claimed.
Masters of the Air, which is being produced by Hanks and Spielberg, is being filmed at a former military base near Abingdon and Shippon.
It is being transformed into a American air force base, with vintage fighter planes, thousands of actors, and gunfire commonplace on the £1million set.
Nearby residents have been urging council officials to halt filming of the series, which is being directed by Bond director Cary Fukunaga, over noise complaints.
