Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.
He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,
Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.
Gerrard admitted they could have scored more than the four which takes their tally in their last three games to 15 goals. Ryan Kent ’s stunner opened the scoring and Kemar Roofe added a second before the break and Scott Arfield and James Tavernier, from the penalty spot, netted in the second half.
It’s now 21 games unbeaten in all competitions ahead of Thursday’s Europa League visit of Benfica where victory could see them reach the last-32 with two games to spare in Group D.They have also won 10 on the spin at home and haven’t conceded at Ibrox in a domestic match with the start their best to a league campaign since 1967-68.
