TV presenter Stephen Mulhern has to pull out of a fan favourite show after the death of his dad.The star, who is best known for his work on Britain's Got More Talent, Catchphrase, Deal or No Deal and Dancing on Ice, has had to step down from hosting Big Fat Soap Quiz this year due to the personal tragedy.The 47 year old star, who began his career at CITV, has always kept his personal life out of the spotlight.
However, it was revealed this week that he had to pull out of the show following the recent death of his father, Christopher.The news came after reports that Stephen had collapsed while dining out and was subsequently taken to hospital.
He was checked over by paramedics but as a precaution he was taken from Sunningdale, Berks, to nearby Frimley Park hospital.
A spokesperson for Stephen told OK! "Stephen has had an incredibly tough time over the past few weeks. His beloved father recently passed away which has hit him hard and has been understandably very stressful. "In addition he had a procedure which took place yesterday (Wednesday).
