St Cuthbert Wanderers boss Ian Clark believes his players need to up their fitness levels to compete with sides for a full 90 minutes.
Saints were trailing Dalkeith Thistle by a single goal in their Scottish Cup clash on Saturday – only for the Midlothian side to produce a late goal blitz and run out 5-0 winners.
Clark said: “The boys battled well for 60 or 65 minutes and then it comes down to fitness. “You look at the last couple of results and at half-time we’re in games, then we fall out of it. “That’s something we need to address and it’s something we highlighted after the game.
It’s something the lads need to be looking at as well as me and the coaching team. “For the first 60 minutes I was extremely proud of how they played and battled.
