Ethan Shanfeld “Player 456, welcome back to the game.” Netflix dropped a new trailer for Season 2 of “Squid Game,” which unveils terrifying new challenges in the colorful death match.
In the second installment of the hit Korean thriller series, premiering Dec. 26, the winning Player 456 (played by Lee Jung-jae) returns to the sadistic competition to put an end to Squid Game and save lives.
Back inside, he tries to coach the other 455 participants through a fatal round of Red Light, Green Light — but his pleas are ignored as bullets go flying.
The trailer for Season 2 sees 456 and co. fighting against the guards and trying to survive new, deadly challenges. Lee stars in Season 2 of “Squid Game” alongside returning cast member Wi Ha-jun as Hwang Jun-ho, and Lee Byung-hun as the mysterious Front Man.
