Spy cameras are being installed at fly-tipping hotspots across Trafford. Trading standards aim to catch culprits on film after a rise in the number of incidents.

The move comes after almost 100 tonnes of fly-tipped household and commercial waste was removed in the borough between January and April this year.

The staggering figures are despite most of the littered items said to have been easily able to be recycled, donated or sold as second hand.
