‘Split Fiction’ creator isn’t convinced a movie adaptation will happen: “I’ll believe it when I see it”

Split Fiction is set to be turned into a Hollywood blockbuster.Co-op title Split Fiction was released earlier this year and became one of the best-reviewed games of 2025, as well as shifting more than two million units.Last month it was reported by Variety that the rights for a movie adaptation of the game had become the subject of a bidding war.

However Fares isn’t convinced a Split Fiction movie will ever happen.“You know what I say? I believe it when I see it, because nothing has happened yet,” Fares told Variety. “It would be nice if it happened, but again, I’ll believe it when I see it.

Sometimes there’s a lot of talks, but nothing happens. So we will see.”It comes after his previous game, 2021’s It Takes Two, was also set to be turned into a film.
