deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: In a competitive situation, Netflix has taken in for development an untitled drama from former A Million Little Things showrunner Terrence Coli, Rabbi and author Steve Leder and Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment, Deadline has learned.
Written by Coli, the untitled project is described as a spiritual procedural about a group of ancient humans who’ve been sent back to Earth with a Heavenly mission: to bring hope to those struggling in their darkest hour and healing to our fractured world.
Coli, Leder and Kaplan executive produce. Kevin Marco is the creative executive for Kapital Entertainment. A rep for Netflix declined comment.
Finding faith/spiritually-based scripted series has been a goal for Netflix, whose model is built on offering programming for every segment of its worldwide audience.
