King Felipe is being transparent with citizens of Spain, and has revealed just how much his personal fortune is worth.
The rare move comes just before the Spanish government put a new law in place which will require the royal house to publish quarterly financial statements. Click inside to read more… In a statement posted to Casa Real’s website, the King wrote that “Today, more than ever, citizens rightly demand that moral and ethical principles inspire — and exemplary preside over — our lives public.” “The King, as the head of the State, has to be not only a reference but also a servant of that fair and legitimate demand of all citizens,” he added.
The release also revealed the Felipe‘s personal fortune is valued at $2.8 million. The total amount is made up of $2.4 million held in securities and bank savings, plus a further $325,000 tied up in art, antiques, and jewelry.
This amount is not part of his salary, the Spanish Royal Family received a larger sum in 2018. Still, Felipe‘s personal fortune and the amount the royal family receives yearly isn’t as much as some other royal families.
