SpaceX successfully takes off in historic NASA launch despite weather fears

Space fans around the world were delighted tonight as the SpaceX test launch took the Dragon Crew module on its way to the International Space Station.

There had been concerns that the weather might force NASA 's pioneering launch to be scrubbed. The new Dragon Crew capsule launched on schedule at 3:22pm from the iconic Pad 39A at the John F.
