Southport stabbing latest with one child dead and others critically injured

A horrific knife attack in Southport has resulted in multiple casualties, including children and adults, with at least one person dead.

The attack unfolded at a property on Hart Road this morning, with reports of numerous individuals stabbed. There is at least one confirmed fatality, believed to be a child, with others critically hurt the Echo reports.

Merseyside Police were called to the scene around 11.50 am today following reports of a stabbing. Over ten other victims, spanning both children and adults, have been transported to local hospitals with injuries.
