South Yorkshire local council election 2024 results in full - borough by borough
manchestereveningnews.co.ukPeople living in South Yorkshire have cast their ballot in the local elections 2024. Three borough councils in the county held elections on Thursday with those living in Sheffield, Barnsley and Rotherham voting for their local councillor.
There were no elections for the City of Doncaster Council. People in all four boroughs also voted in the South Yorkshire mayoral election.
The mayor has powers and responsibilities in relation to transport, economic development, provision of skills training and housing. READ MORE: Join the FREE Manchester Evening News WhatsApp community In total, more than 2,500 council seats were up for grabs across 107 local authorities in England.
Other mayoral elections took place in East Midland, Greater Manchester, Liverpool City Region, North East, West Yorkshire, West Midlands, York and North Yorkshire, London and Salford.
