South Lanarkshire Council pledge to make their community 'age friendly'

South Lanarkshire Council has become the first local authority in Scotland to sign a commitment to becoming an age-friendly community.Councillors at the Executive Committee meeting today (February 1), endorsed plans to make a formal written commitment to the World Health Organisation to make South Lanarkshire an age friendly community and ‘a great place to grow older’.Plans include the council working with other organisations such as Seniors Together to make the area a more liveable place for older people and to allow more voices from the older generation to be heard.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
